The Prince’s Regeneration Trust has dual charitable objects, which cover both heritage and regeneration;
• The preservation of buildings, monuments, structures or sites in the United Kingdom of particular beauty or historical, architectural interest
• The promotion of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation
The Prince’s Regeneration Trust works with building owners, community groups, developers, local authorities and other public bodies to establish an appropriate economical and sustainable new use for their listed heritage building or buildings. We apply an “end to end” approach to projects using developer led solutions.
The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, through its projects, enables under used or redundant buildings to perform a new function, which in turn unlocks a regeneration of the wider community. The Trust works in all four countries of the United Kingdom generating a capacity to share learning and project experience. We are unique in this position.
Loss of heritage means not just losing important links with the past that are highly valued by communities but also the erosion of those things that differentiate one town or city from another; those that create a unique sense of place. The Trust can demonstrate a significant level of achievement in its past and present projects which creates an unrivalled range and depth of experience, knowledge and confidence in delivering and driving heritage-led regeneration.
